As all non-essential businesses must remain closed throughout Malaysia during the extended MCO, the warranty for Honor devices that expire between the period of 18th March to 30th May will qualify for an automatic extension until 31th May.
Take note that this is only applicable for devices purchased in Malaysia. The extension includes coverage for Normal In-Warranty, Screen Protection Warranty, and 7-day phone replacement (Date of Purchase). It’s important to note that the extended warranty does not cover accidental damage from mishandling, and that it will be subject to the service centre’s assessment.
“Honor recognises its responsibility towards its consumers and will work to the best of its abilities to ensure that the on-going circumstances will not affect its after sales services for consumers,” they say in their press release.

Besides Honor, Samsung is providing a 30 days extended warranty for their products that will expire during the MCO. There is no word yet if Apple or other phone manufacturers will provide an extended warranty at this time.
