Maxis is also offering pre-orders for the latest Huawei P40 and P40 Pro flagship smartphones. As usual, it is bundled with its MaxisONE postpaid plans in either Zerolution instalment or on a standard contract with a 24-month duration.
Huawei P40
The 6.1″ Huawei P40 with 128GB storage retails for RM2,799 and it can be yours for as low as RM69/month on instalment or from RM1,299 on a standard contract. Below is the monthly instalment for Zerolution and device pricing for the standard contract, excluding taxes and postpaid subscription fee.

Typically, there’s no upfront payment for the Zerolution instalment plan and the instalment plan is only applicable to existing customers with good payment records. All you’ll need to pay monthly is the device instalment amount together with your monthly postpaid plan fee.
However, for the normal contract, you’ll need to pay an “advance payment” which varies depending on the plan you pick and it will be rebated back to your monthly bill. The advance payment isn’t shown on Maxis’ website and it usually costs nearly RM1,000 for the highest MaxisONE Plan 188 option.

Huawei P40 Pro

Similar to what Huawei has announced, the device comes with an array of freebies which includes the Huawei FreeBuds 3 wireless earphones, extended warranty with screen protection, free access to Huawei Video and Cloud storage. For the P40, you’ll receive a wireless charging case while the P40 Pro comes bundled with a Huawei SuperCharge Wireless Car Charger.
The Huawei P40 and P40 Pro are both 5G supported devices. These are also the first P-Series to ship with Huawei Mobile Services with AppGallery. Unlike the previous P30 series, it doesn’t come with Google apps and services out of the box.
In addition, Maxis is providing 3-months free subscription to SafeDevice worth RM99. This is a device protection plan that covers accidental damage and theft.
