Celcom offers the Huawei P40 series from RM49/month on contract

The Huawei P40 and P40 Pro are currently available for pre-order in Malaysia. If you prefer to get it on a 24-month telco contract, Celcom is now offering the P40 from as low as RM49/month on EasyPhone or as low as RM488 on a standard contract. On top of that, the devices come with freebies worth RM1,376 while stocks last.

Huawei P40

EasyPhone

On the EasyPhone instalment program, you can get the P40 from as low as RM49/month on the Celcom Mega Lightning postpaid plan. Do note that this amount doesn’t include the monthly postpaid subscription. Below is the monthly all-in instalment amount which includes the postpaid plan (excluding taxes):

Lightning M (30GB + 10GB) – RM187/month
Lightning L (30GB + 30GB) – RM217/month
Lightning XL (30GB + 70GB) – RM237/month

Standard Contract

If you prefer to pay for the device upfront, you can get the P40 for RM488 on the Mega Lightning postpaid plans. Below is the device amount which excludes the monthly postpaid subscription:

Lightning M (30GB + 10GB) – RM1,388
Lightning L (30GB + 30GB) – RM888
Lightning XL (30GB + 70GB) – RM488

Do note that during signup, you are required to pay an upfront payment which will be rebated back to your account over 10 months. Celcom requires RM300 (M), RM800 (L) or RM1,200 (XL) when you sign up for the standard contract.

Huawei P40 Pro

EasyPhone

If you prefer the higher-spec P40 Pro, the device can be yours from RM99/month (device only) on the EasyPhone instalment program. Below is the monthly all-in instalment amount for the P40 Pro including the postpaid subscription fee (excluding taxes):

Lightning M (30GB + 10GB) – RM247/month
Lightning L (30GB + 30GB) – RM267/month
Lightning XL (30GB + 70GB) – RM287/month

Standard Contract

On a standard contract, below are the subsidised device pricing for the P40 Pro:

Lightning M (30GB + 10GB) – RM2,688
Lightning L (30GB + 30GB) – RM2,188
Lightning XL (30GB + 70GB) – RM1,688

During signup, you are required to place an upfront payment of RM250 (M), RM750 (L) or RM1,250 (XL). The upfront payment will be rebated back to your account over 10 months.

P40 and P40 Pro Freebies

To recap, the Huawei P40 with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage is officially priced at RM2,799 while the P40 Pro with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage is going for RM3,899. During the pre-order promo, the devices come with 1-year extended warranty, 1-month screen protection and free access to Huawei Video and Cloud storage. In addition, both devices will be bundled with a FreeBuds 3 wireless earphones for free. For the P40, you’ll get a wireless charging case, while the P40 Pro will be bundled with a SuperCharge wireless car charger.

The P40 series is also Huawei’s first P-series lineup to launch without Google apps and services pre-installed. It is Android device that runs on Huawei Mobile Services and you’ll have to download apps via the Huawei AppGallery.
