Dirigo Events, the organisers of the annual Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon, have cancelled the KLSCM 2020. This comes as the COVID-19 global pandemic continues to develop, with the original date for the marathon set on the 13th and 14th of June 2020.

Entry fees start at RM65 for adults, which may be a concern for those that have already registered. However, Dirigo has stated in an official statement that all individual registrations will be automatically deferred to 2021. At the moment, the plan is to have the 2021 Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon at around the same time next year: the second week of June.

“This was not an easy decision as we understand the amount of time and preparation that has been put into this year’s event from all parties has been significant. Thank you to all of our runners, volunteers and fans for your support and understanding at this time.”
