The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has seen many organisations come forth and offer their services for free. OYO Malaysia is doing its part by providing free rooms at its partner hotels to all healthcare practitioners. The hotels are located within a 5km radius of Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Hospital Shah Alam and Hospital Tuanku Jaafar in Seremban.
OYO Malaysia is doing this in response to a number of requests they have received on social media from NGOs and healthcare practitioners for rooms, apartments and homes within a short distance of hospitals treating COVID-19 patients. They also hope that this gesture will alleviate the burden of hospital staff who work tirelessly, by providing them with a place to rest and recuperate near the hospital, before continuing their exhausting routines.
This offer is valid from now until the 14th of April at the following OYO Malaysia branches:

To claim this offer, healthcare practitioners can call +6013-3560534, +6012-296 8682, +6016-6960616 or +6014-3819527 between 9am and 6pm every day, to book rooms at any of the above-listed hotels. Please do take note that proof of employment such as a staff ID is required at check-in.
This offer, however, does not include any other service, it only covers room rates. As per the restrictions imposed during this period of MCO all other facilities and services at the hotel will remain shut. Only in-room dining is allowed and you will have to pay for it.
We reached out to OYO for more information, and they told us that they will give free rooms for up to 5 days and 4 nights depending on demand and to ensure that everyone gets a chance to stay at the hotel. However, if a healthcare practitioner should choose to stay for more than 5 days, they will not be charged and they are also welcome to share the room with others. All of this depends on availability as the OYO hotels have around 20 to 25 rooms per hotel.
OYO Malaysia will continue to accept reservations and check-ins from foreign guests, employees of government agencies and anyone employed in any of the essential services mandated during the MCO period. Besides OYO Malaysia, Tune Hotel is offering up all of its room to HKL (Kuala Lumpur Hospital) staff for 30 days and this offer also includes complimentary breakfast.
