Apart from Unifi Mobile prepaid initiative, Unifi is now offering 999GB of hotspot data for selected mobile postpaid plans. This is an effort to support Malaysians during the Movement Control order and it will benefit those that don’t have WiFi at home.
According to Unifi’s community page, the 999GB LTE hotspot pass is available to all Unifi Mobile postpaid customers that are on their higher-tier plans. The plans include Unifi Mobile 99 at RM59 (with 12-month contract), Unifi Mobile 99, webe RM79 and Unifi Mobile Pek Jasa/Senior Citizen Plan. It’s also applicable for Unifi Mobile Biz 99 and 79.
At 999GB, that’s almost 100X more than the current 10GB hotspot data that’s provided on the Unifi Mobile 99 plan. Typically, if you need more hotspot data, you’ll have to pay 500MB for RM8 or 1GB of data at RM15.
According to Unifi, the offer is available from today, 19th March until 31st March 2020. You probably won’t see it yet as the new hotspot quota will be reflected by 20th March and it will be done by batches. There’s no action required and it is also reflected for new subscriptions that have activated their lines.
Do note that the pass only works on their 4G LTE network. This means you can’t use the 999GB quota when your line switches to 3G.
In case you missed it, Unifi #Bebas prepaid customers can enjoy free unlimited data by activating the #Bebas Weekly plan. Originally priced at RM20, you can now enjoy the weekly unlimited pass for RM0. This promo is also available until the 31st March 2020.
