BMW and Mini owners can service their cars at home with this mobile app

BMW authorised dealer, Auto Bavaria, has introduced i-Service, a first-of-its-kind service for BMW owners in Malaysia which makes scheduled car maintenance a whole lot easier. Instead of driving your BMW or Mini to the nearest service centre, you can now get the “workshop” to come to your doorstep.

With the Auto Bavaria mobile app, customers can book for mobile servicing at home or at their workplace. The company will be rolling out three i-Service vehicles that will cover prime locations in the Klang Valley within 40km radius from an Auto Bavaria dealership. The Auto Bavaria i-Service operates from Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm and on Saturday between 9am to 12pm.

Apart from booking service appointments, the mobile app also allows customers to check their vehicle service history, view the service progress and make payment in one single application. The app also has a “track & chat” feature which allows you to track the i-Service vehicle and to chat with technicians when required.

The i-Service crew can perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil change, brake pad change, tyre change, tyre balancing and battery change. Auto Bavaria also emphasised that each i-Service vehicle is equipped with the latest tools and equipment, manned by experienced and qualified technicians, and they only use BMW genuine parts.

For greater transparency, customers can view cost estimates including itemised costs for parts and labour through the app. To get started, you can download the Auto Bavaria app on the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store.

Overall, this is a convenient way to get your car serviced especially if you don’t have time to go to the workshop. However, if your car requires more complex servicing, you would still need to drive your car to the nearest workshop.
