Oppo has finally announced the Reno 3 Pro in India and it is a very different device from the unit that was announced in China last year. The “global” Reno 3 Pro features a higher-resolution 64MP main camera and a dual punch-hole selfie camera.
Upfront, it features a 6.4″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED display that comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, it doesn’t come with a 90Hz refresh rate that’s offered in the Chinese model. For selfies, it has a 44MP selfie camera and a secondary 2MP shooter for depth effects.
The Reno 3 Pro for India is the first device to run on a MediaTek Helio P95 processor that boasts an AI processing unit. The device is configured with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
At the rear, the Reno 3 Pro features a quad-camera setup that consists of a 64MP main camera, a 13MP telephoto lens, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP mono lens. The telephoto camera offers 5x hybrid zoom and up to 20x digital zoom.
The Reno 3 Pro also features ultra-dark mode and it also supports Ultra Steady Video 2.0 for more stable video recording. Although the main camera is a 64MP camera, there’s an ultra-resolution mode that allows you to capture photos in 108MP resolution.
Powering the device is a 4,025mAh battery and it supports VOOC 4.0 30W fast charging via USB-C. In terms of connectivity, this is a 4G LTE device and it supports Bluetooth 5.0. Out of the box, it runs on ColorOS 7 that’s based on Android 10.
In India, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version is priced at INR 29,990 (about RM1,739) and it will be going on sale on 6th March. Meanwhile, the 256GB version is priced at INR 32,990 (about RM1,912). So far we don’t know when the Reno 3 Pro will be released in Malaysia, but the upcoming Find X2 series will be revealed next week.
