In light of the current COVID-19 outbreak, Boost eWallet and Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) are now offering free Prudential Life Insurance with special COVID-19 coverage for a limited time. This is available for premium verified Boost users that are not existing PAMB and Prudential BSN Takaful customers.
The insurance coverage is applicable to those aged between 18 to 55 years old, and it’s limited to the first 200,000 enrolments. To enrol, users will just need to tap on the “COVID-19 coverage” tile in the Boost app to opt-in. Only 1 enrolment is allowed per user and users will receive confirmation of their enrolment within 3 working days from the date of application.
According to Boost, the coverage provides RM1,000 payout to your family upon death and there’s a RM5,000 special coverage upon diagnosis of COVID-19 at one of the 26 hospitals designated by the Ministry of Health in Malaysia. The free coverage period will start from the date of successful enrolment as notified by Boost until 30th April 2020.
If you haven’t redeemed your RM30 eTunai Rakyat, you are urged to do so by 9th March 2020. According to Boost, they currently have 6.2 million users with 138,000 merchants nationwide. Boost is also offering instant cash of up to RM8,888 to those that submit their eTunai Rakyat claim applications through Boost.
