According to Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth, the Realme 6 and 6 Pro launch is taking place on the 5th of March at 12:30PM (India time), which is 3:00PM in Malaysia. The new device boasts a quad-camera setup featuring a 64MP “Pro Camera” as well as a “Pro Display”.

From the teaser image, it appears that the device will feature a wider punch-hole on the display to house two selfie cameras. Meanwhile, the rear gets a vertically arranged quad-camera array that has a distinctive yellow ring around the topmost lens.

It isn’t clear what it means by “Pro Display” and we are guessing that this could mean a higher refresh rate or better colour accuracy. In terms of specs, it is rumoured that the Realme 6 could be running on a MediaTek Helio G90T processor which is the same SoC that’s found on the Redmi Note 8 Pro. It is also worth pointing out that the cheaper Realme 6i had passed Malaysia’s SIRIM certification last month.
In addition, the Oppo sub-brand is also going to unveil its first Realme Fitness Band together with the new smartphones. The new fitness band will compete directly against the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 and the Honor Band 5.

We will find out more next week on 5th March. The devices should be released in Malaysia within the next couple of months.
