2020 is expected to be the year of 5G and now Oppo Malaysia has certified two 5G smartphones on Malaysia’s SIRIM database. This new 5G smartphone appears to be all new and this could be its upcoming flagship, the Oppo Find X2 Pro.
As spotted on SIRIM’s listing, there are two new devices, namely CPH2023 and CPH2025. CPH2023 which is believed to be the Oppo Find X2 is a 4G LTE model that supports our usual local bands while CPH2025 is a 5G certified device which supports both 700MHz and 3.5GHz bands. The top of the line model is expected to be called the Oppo Find X2 Pro.
The two devices have NFC with dual-SIM support, and it even supports 802.11ax (WiFi 6) for faster wireless connectivity. The devices were spotted on WiFi Alliance’s certification database and it has also passed certification in Thailand.
As a top of the line flagship smartphone, the Oppo Find X2 series is expected to feature a 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 865 processor with Qualcomm’s dual-mode X55 5G modem and at least 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging.
Word has it that Find X2 Pro may feature a Quad HD+ resolution display and a 48MP Sony image sensor that has a large 1/1.3″ sensor size. For greater versatility, it would come with an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 13Mp telephoto camera that is said to be capable of doing 5x hybrid zoom.
