Jabra Elite 75t Malaysia: Everything you need to know

Another new pair of high-end truly wireless in-ear headphones have entered the Malaysian market. They’re Jabra‘s brand new Elite 75t and the company has made some fairly big changes to their TWS headphones. Here’s what you need to know.

Pricing & availability

The Jabra Elite 75t are available for purchase in Malaysia at all Jabra retailers nationwide including All IT, Harvey Norman, and Foto Shangri-La. On top of that, you can also purchase the Jabra Elite 75t online from Jabra’s official store on Lazada.

It will retail for RM949 (buy on Lazada) and is already available for purchase. Jabra’s new headphones will come in two colours–Titanium Black and Gold Beige–but currently only Titanium Black is available. Gold Beige will arrive later this year. Jabra will also be selling a separate case for the Elite 75t with support for wireless charging later this year.

Besides that, Jabra Malaysia tells us that they also plan to bring in the Elite Active 75t which adds IP57 water resistance, but that will only be arriving sometime around April. There’s no information on that particular variant’s pricing just yet, but Jabra tells me that it will be slightly more expensive.

Jabra Elite 75t features

Jabra’s new Elite 75t headphones are all about comfort, and that’s always a good thing for devices that want you to wear them all day. As a result, the company gave their in-ear headphones a radical redesign, producing a much smaller body with a longer, more delicate stem.

And the results are pretty amazing. The old Elite 65t headphones did not fit me at all, but these new ones had no issue giving me a tight seal once I swapped to the large ear tips. It was also very light and comfortable, with a lower profile in the ear than something like the Sony WF-1000XM3.

On top of that, Jabra also improved the battery life on their Elite 75t so now it clocks in at 7.5 hours on a single charge, with a combined 28 hours if used with the case. Speaking of, the case charges via USB-C, but it does not support wireless charging. You’ll have to pick up the wireless charging case separately.

Finally, the headphones also support virtual assistants like Amazon’s Alexa, the Google Assistant, and Apple’s Siri. In Malaysia, Jabra will be offering a 2-year warranty for the Elite 75t with an instant 1-to-1 replacement policy for untis with manufacturing defects.

Personally, I found it hard to justify the Jabra Elite 75t’s price tag. At RM949, it is going head-to-head with Sony’s WF-1000XM3 headphones and those have active noise cancellation built into the headphones. I think the Sonys also sound better with cleaner bass, and they have really good battery life too.

The only aspect in which the Jabra edges the Sony out in is the fact that the Elite 75t has an IP rating of IP55 while the Sony headphones do not.
