The Ultraboost 20 was released last year, and Adidas has already drawn attention with their partnership with the ISS National Lab that will see Boost technology make its way to space, soon. Now, a new collection of the Ultraboost 20 is being launched that pays tribute to 8 cities in the Asian Pacific region: the City Pack.
There are 8 new variants of the Ultraboost 20, which all have colour schemes that pay homage to the selected cities: Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Sydney, Osaka, Taipei, and Singapore.
Have a look:
The Ultraboost 20 features Primeknit, which use “Tailored Fibre Placement” tech to help deliver calibrated support, while offering a flexible fit for every runner’s foot (something I can attest to). The City Pack versions, meanwhile, have the Adidas logo stamped on the tongue, and if you look closely, the laces have “Adidas” spelt out in the native tongue of the city printed on them.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be a Kuala Lumpur-themed version of the Ultraboost 20—which is a crying shame, really. I can already picture it in my head—red, blue, white, and yellow, along with “MSIA” or “KUL” emblazoned across the heel.
The Adidas Ultraboost 20 City Pack is priced at RM780, which is the same price as the standard variants of the Ultraboost 20—but until Adidas launched a Malaysian-themed one, I’m happy to stick to my traditionally themed Ultraboost 20. To find out more, click here.
