Deal: AirAsia offers fixed-fare CNY flight tickets to East Malaysia from RM149

As announced by Transport Minister, Anthony Loke, AirAsia is offering fixed low fares for flights between West and East Malaysia in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations. If you haven’t bought your tickets, here’s your chance to return to your hometown with lower fares for the travelling period between 21st to 31st January 2020.

From Kuala Lumpur to Sibu, Bintulu and Miri, as well as Johor Bahru to Sibu, AirAsia is offering RM149 one-way all-in-fares. Flights from Kuala Lumpur to Sandakan and Tawau will be going for RM199 one-way all-in. The displayed fares are inclusive of taxes and fees. To cope with increased demand, AirAsia is adding late-night flights at fixed fares to six routes to East Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur to Sabah

Johor to Sarawak

AirAsia is also adding extra flights to 20 popular routes across Malaysia and to Singapore. This includes:

  • Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi, Penang, Sibu, Tawau and Singapore
  • Alor Setar to Johor Bahru
  • Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang and Tawau
  • Ipoh to Johor Bahru and Singapore, from Johor Bahru
  • Johor Bahru to Kuching, Miri, Sibu and Tawau
  • Kuching to Kuala Lumpur, Sibu and Singapore
  • Penang to Singapore

On top of that, Malaysians can enjoy up to 88% off the base fares for all destinations such as Kuala Lumpur to Penang, Langkawi, Kuantan, Lake Toba, Jakarta, Singapore, Surat Thani, Bangkok and more, via AirAsia.com or the AirAsia mobile app from 6th to 12th January 2020. This is applicable for travel between 6th January to 31st August 2020.

Due to the busy festive season, all passengers travelling during the Chinese New Year week are advised to arrive at the airport earlier to avoid congestion. Passengers are advised to perform web or mobile check-in for greater convenience. You can check-in from 14-days to up to an hour ahead of the scheduled time of departure. Check-in counters at KLIA2 will be closed 60 minutes ahead of scheduled departure time for both international and domestic flights.
