Xiaomi’s latest flagship could feature 90Hz display, leak suggests

Reports suggest that Xiaomi is set to launch the Mi 10 series at the Mobile World Congress at the tail-end of February 2020, and a leak has now surfaced that claims that the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will sport some pretty impressive specs.

Both devices could be launched at the same time, with the Mi 10 purportedly having a 6.5″ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The leak also claims that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 mated to 8 or 12GB of RAM.

Just like the Mi Note 10, the Mi 10 could also have a 108MP main camera, along with a 20MP ultra-wide lens, a 12MP telephoto lens and a 5MP depth sensor. The report also says that the Mi 10 will have a 4,500mAh battery that can be charged at 40W for wired charging, and 30W for wireless.

There could also be 10W reverse-wireless charging, which would allow for the new flagship from Xiaomi to charge their recently-released Xiaomi Watch.

Meanwhile, the leak claims that the “Pro” variant of the Mi 10 will have a 48MP + 12MP + 8MP trio of cameras to complement the same 108MP main shooter, while there are also claims that the Mi 10 Pro could have a DxOMark score of over 125 points.

There’s impressive charging tech for the Pro, with 66W wired charging and 40W wireless charging support, while the Mi 10 Pro will be powered by the same SD865, with a single configuration of 12GB + 512GB.

Based on the figures above, prices for the Mi 10 Pro will start at CNY3,799 for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, although prices are hidden for the Mi 10.

While the above isn’t concrete news by any stretch, it makes sense that Xiaomi would include the 108MP camera that’s been widely publicised on the Mi Note 10, and a 90Hz display would also be a logical upgrade for the next flagship device from Xiaomi. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 865 has been confirmed to be the chipset of choice in the upcoming flagships by Xiaomi. This could potentially mean that the Mi 10 will be the first SD865-powered smartphone you can buy in Malaysia.
