The Realme X50 will be unveiled very soon and this will be their first 5G smartphone. Although the Realme X2 Pro is their current top-of-the-line flagship model, their upcoming 5G phone is more of an upper mid-range device that comes with an integrated 5G modem.
The Realme X50 will be launched in Beijing on the 7th January 2020 and its CMO, Chase Xu Qi, has dropped its first official image of the device. The rear looks like a Realme XT as it comes with a quad-camera setup that’s arranged vertically on the top left corner. Since the back is clean, it is likely to feature an AMOLED display with an embedded fingerprint sensor.
We still don’t know the exact screen size but based on an earlier teaser, the X50 will feature a wide punch-hole to house two selfie cameras. This is somewhat similar to the Honor View 30.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 765G processor that’s manufactured based on a 7nm + EUV process. It comes with an integrated 5G modem that supports both NSA and SA networks.
To keep things cool, the 5G device is equipped with an 8mm diameter liquid-cooling chamber that has a volume of 410mm³. This is designed to enable you to run at maximum performance without worrying about heat.
Although they didn’t reveal its battery capacity, the Realme X50 will support VOOC 4.0 fast charging which is similar to the Realme X2. This will allow you to get up to 70% charge in just 30 minutes which isn’t as blazing fast as the 50W SuperVOOC. As a comparison, the Realme X2 Pro can be charged from 0-100% in just 35 minutes.
From the looks of it, it appears that Realme might introduce a cheaper “Youth” version of the X50. We will find out more in less than two weeks, so stay tuned.
