Samsung Galaxy A51 looks like a Google Pixel 4 with four cameras

Samsung is going all out with its affordable Galaxy A series. After introducing the Galaxy A50 in February and the Galaxy A50s in August this year, Samsung appears to be working on its next model that’s expected to be called the Samsung Galaxy A51.

Ahead of its official announcement, we now get a glimpse of the new device through high-resolution renders provided by serial leakster @OnLeaks. According to the information that’s shared via PriceBaba, the Galaxy A51 is expected to launch early next year with very similar specs to the current Galaxy A50s.

The biggest change is the design where the front of the device will use a Galaxy Note 10-like punch-hole display while the rear gets a quad-camera setup with a bump that looks inspired by the Google Pixel 4.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 is rumoured to come with a 6.5″ Super AMOLED display (likely Full HD) and it runs on an Exynos 9611 processor with at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Looking at the current A50 and A50s, it is likely that a higher 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version will be offered as well.

In the camera department, the A51 appears to offer greater versatility than the current A50s. It is said to feature a familiar 48MP main camera along with an additional 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12MP telephoto shooter with 2X optical zoom. The device also gets a 5MP depth sensor, while the front punch-hole houses a 32MP selfie camera.

What’s interesting is that the camera is laid out in an L-array which leaves a blank space on the top right corner of the camera bump. Since there’s no rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, the Galaxy A51 is expected to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor like its current model.

As shown above, the device still has a 3.5mm headphone jack and it charges via a USB-C port. Powering the device is said to be the same 4,000mAh capacity battery and it is expected to run on the latest One UI 2.0 that’s based on Android 10.

The Samsung Galaxy A50s is currently retailing for RM1,299 in Malaysia and the new one is likely to retain a similar price tag.
