U Mobile’s GoPayz eWallet is now open to the public and they are currently running a launch promo where you can get RM200 worth of goodies. For greater acceptance, the GoPayz physical card which costs RM16 is now offered for free.

To enjoy the new perks, all you’ll need to do is to top up at least RM30 after you sign up for a new account. The campaign is running from 1st November to 31st December 2019. Apart from getting a free physical card, you also enjoy the following benefits:

  • 2 months complimentary GoLife Plus life insurance
  • RM6 cashback with purchase of GoInsure PA insurance
  • RM30 cashback with any unit trust investment of RM1,000
  • Variety of discounts and promos from GoPayz partners

In addition, existing U Mobile customers that top up at least RM30 during the campaign will enjoy additional perks such as free movie tickets and drinks.

As mentioned previously, U Mobile aims to make it easier for consumers to access financial services such as insurance and unit trust investments with this new offering. Do note that when you top up RM30 for the first time, RM10 will be retained as a deposit and this is used to account for any forex fluctuations. The amount will be refunded when you close the GoPayz account.

For a wider acceptance, the eWallet will offer virtual prepaid cards in Mastercard, UnionPay and Visa. You can request for a physical card that supports contactless payments. You can use the card to get cash at the ATM and it will cost RM1 for local and RM10 for international withdrawals. You can learn more in our earlier post on GoPayz.

If you’re interested, you can download the app that’s available on both Apple’s AppStore and Google Play Store.
