OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro McLaren Edition now available for pre-order, priced from RM2,599

After the release of the OnePlus 7T Pro last week, you can now pre-order the more affordable OnePlus 7T as well as the premium OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. These are official Malaysian units that are covered by a 2-year warranty from authorised distributor, XianFeng Technology.

According to authorised retailers DirectD and Mobile2Go, you can pre-order both models starting today and the units are expected to arrive starting next week on 4th November 2019. The OnePlus 7T is officially priced at RM2,599 and it comes with 8GB RAM + 128GB of storage. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 7T McLaren edition is going for RM3,899 with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.

OnePlus 7T

The OnePlus 7T is essentially an upgraded from the base model OnePlus 7. Not only it gets a more powerful Snapdragon 855+ processor, the 6.55″ Full HD+ display has been upgraded with a fluid 90Hz refresh rate with HDR10+ support. There’s also a stereo audio playback that supports Dolby Atmos.

The 7T also gets an upgraded triple-camera setup similar to the Pro model. It has a 48MP f/1.6 main camera, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto camera that does 2x optical zoom. For selfies, it gets a 16MP f/2.0 front camera that sits on a tiny notch on top of the display.

Powering the device is a 3,800mAh battery that supports an updated 30W Warp Charge 30T charging technology via USB-C. According to OnePlus, it is 23% faster than the previous Warp Charge 30.

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition

If you’re looking for something more exclusive, the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition features a distinctive look and it packs 12GB RAM with 256GB of storage. Like the standard OnePlus 7T Pro, it has the same 90Hz 6.67″ Quad HD+ AMOLED panel and it runs on a Snapdragon 855+ processor.

The back gets a unique pattern that looks similar to the texture of the McLaren Speedtail’s steering wheel. Like the previous McLaren Edition phone, it also retains a contrasting papapa orange accents on the bottom edges of the rear panel. Apart from the fancier box, the device also gets a special case with Alcantara and carbon fibre accents. The rest of the hardware remains unchanged and it also gets a 4,085mAh battery that supports Warp Charge 30T charging.
