Sony’s flagship smartphone, the Sony Xperia 1 is finally available for the Malaysian market. Launched earlier this year, the device is the world’s first smartphone to feature a 4K OLED display.

As revealed during the pre-order promo, the flagship device is priced at RM4,299 and it comes with 6GB RAM + 128GB of storage. There’s no more WH-1000XM3 ANC headphone bundle but Sony is offering a free case and a screen protector until 3rd November while stocks last. This is probably the most expensive Android-powered smartphone to come with just 128GB of storage.

The Xperia 1 is offered locally in three colours – Black, Grey and Purple. Apart from Mobile2Go, the triple-camera device is also available on Sony’s official online store as well as Lazada. Sony Malaysia has also told us that the device is also available in its physical stores.

To refresh your memory, the Xperia 1 features a 6.5″ 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR display and it runs on a Snapdragon 855 processor. This is also Sony’s first smartphone with a triple-camera setup. It has a 12MP f/1.6 main, 12MP f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle and 12MP f/2.4 for telephoto. The device also gets an 8MP selfie shooter.

Powering the device is a rather small 3,330mAh battery that supports USB-C PD fast charging. Unfortunately, there’s no headphone jack and no support for wireless charging.
