Here’s how to get the Honor 9X early in Malaysia

Honor Malaysia has revealed that its Honor 9X smartphone will be announced for the global market very soon. This is their latest mid-range smartphone that will replace the current Honor 8X claims to have sold more than 10 million units worldwide.

If you want to be among the first to try the Honor 9X, the Huawei sub-brand has announced an Honor Club Early Access Program for Malaysian fans. Similar to the global Honor 9X early bird access campaign, you would need to review and provide feedback on the device before its official launch. Only two winners will be selected from Malaysia and the winner will be announced on 11th November.

To participate, all you’ll need to do is to provide a link to your review of any Honor products on the community page before 31st October 2019. Only one entry is allowed and the first one will be counted if there are multiple entries.

Apart from producing a review of the Honor 9X, winners that are selected are also required to post two sample photos every week on the Honor Malaysia Fans Facebook group and Honor Club.

To refresh your memory, the Honor 9X is their latest mid-range smartphone that features a 6.59″ Full HD+ display that’s free from notches and punch-holes. It gets a 16MP pop-up selfie camera and under the hood, it runs on a 7nm Kirin 810 processor.

For imaging, the Honor 9X Pro features a triple-camera setup with a 48MP f/1.8 main camera, 8MP f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Meanwhile, the standard 9X gets a dual-camera array with a 48MP f/1.8 main camera and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Powering the device is a respectable 4,000mAh battery that charges via USB-C. The device also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, and like the Honor 20 series, it also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Honor 9X is possibly the first Honor smartphone to ship without Google Mobile Services. Similar to the Huawei Mate 30 series, the device will have to rely on Huawei Mobile Services which comes with its own AppGallery.
