Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 finally arrives in Malaysia, priced from RM1,099

If you’re looking for a new smartwatch from Samsung, the new Galaxy Watch Active 2 is finally here. Samsung Malaysia is offering a total of 5 different options including the Under Armor Edition.

The Samsung Watch Active 2 comes in aluminium and stainless steel cases, and you can have it in either 40mm or 44mm sizes. Below is the full price list sorted by pricing:

In terms of colours, the Stainless steel version is offered in Black and Gold, while the Aluminium variant is available in Black and Pink. Meanwhile, the Under Armor edition is only offered in Black. According to Samsung Malaysia’s tweet, the new wearables will be available on the 18th October 2019 and it is also available via their online store.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 features a Super AMOLED display that comes with a touch bezel which mimics a rotating bezel. The 44mm model gets a 1.4″ screen while the smaller unit gets a 1.2″ screen. You can take it for a swim since it has IP68 and 5ATM rating. It is also US military standard compliant with MIL-STD-810G rating.

The back of the Watch Active 2 features eight photodiodes for heart rate monitoring. When the watch was announced a few months ago, it was revealed that it also supports ECG but it isn’t activated just yet. The device supports NFC, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi as well as Bluetooth 5.0. According to the product page, it can work with non-Galaxy Android smartphones as well as iPhones with iOS 9 and above.
