The Redmi Note 8 Pro was recently launched in China and this is one of the first smartphones to feature a 64MP main camera. So let’s check out what is this smartphone all about.

Before I go into detail, I would like to clarify that the unit we have is an import set courtesy from Mobile2Go.

Right of the bat, the Redmi Note 8 Pro that we have comes with this green to black gradient, which I think it looks pretty cool. But it has a glossy and reflective back and it will be prone to fingerprint smudges.

It also has a quad camera setup that is aligned vertically at the back of the smartphone. And interestingly, this device is one of the first smartphones to feature Samsung’s new 64MP ISOCELL Bright GW1 camera sensor.  Alongside the 64MP main camera is an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera for you to take pictures up close.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 8 Pro runs on MediaTek’s latest processor called the Helio G90T processor and this is the first smartphone that comes with this chipset. The processor is then mated up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Moving on to the front, you will see that there’s a large 6.53”Full HD+ display and there’s also a tiny notch that houses the selfie camera.

MediaTek also mentioned that with this processor you will be able to get incredible gaming performance.

Keeping the light on is a massive 4,500mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

Unfortunately, this device isn’t officially available in Malaysia yet, but if you are interested you can pick one up from Mobile2Go.

The base model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at RM1,098 and if you need more storage there is also the 128GB variant and it will be prced slightly higher at RM1,198.

But if you need more performance, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is also available with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and it is priced at RM1,398.

Do not that these devices offered are import sets so it will come with Mobile2Go in house warranty.
