The Huawei Watch GT 2 looks like it could have a virtual bezel

The successor to Huawei’s Watch GT is set to be launched on September 19, and there have already been a number of details leaked to the public. For starters, the Watch GT 2 is rumoured to come with an even larger battery than its predecessor—445mAh, which is around 6% larger than the 420mAh battery seen on the Watch GT.

It could also have a built-in microphone and speaker, which would allow for users to use the Watch GT 2 to receive/make phone calls. It’s also likely to have a more compact design, with a slimmer profile as well as a larger display.

And now, serial leakster, Evan Blass (@EVLeaks on Twitter) has posted more images of Huawei’s upcoming smartwatch. If you aren’t following the account, Blass recently set his Twitter account to private, so here are the images he posted:

Of course, they do look pretty similar to another smartwatch from rival brand Samsung, and users on Twitter have been quick to point that out.

GALAXY WATCH ACTIVE ARE YOU IT???

Based on the leaked images, there might be multiple variants available, with different looks for each—ranging from a conventional metal finish, a rose gold finish, to an all black version. Interestingly, some of the images indicate that the certain variants seem to have a virtual bezel, similar to the Galaxy Watch Active2.

If you’re interested, more details are expected to be revealed at the launch of the Huawei Mate 30, but we do expect the Watch GT 2 to have a battery life of more than 14 days, which is certainly impressive for a smartwatch in this time and age.
