Vivo V17 Pro revealed, comes with a total of six cameras

The Vivo V15 Pro is getting a new successor very soon. The Chinese smartphone maker appears to be preparing for the Vivo V17 Pro based on several leaked promo materials that have surfaced online.

Like the current model, the V17 Pro is also getting an ultra FullView display that has no notches or punch-holes at the top. Instead of having a single pop-up selfie camera, the new device comes with bigger popup module that houses two cameras. The dual-camera pop-up module is similar to what we’ve seen on the ginormous Energizer 18,000mAh phone.

If we look at the rear, Vivo is also going for a quad-camera setup that’s placed vertically on a centre-aligned bump. There’s no rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as the device will still come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The folks at 91mobiles have also gotten a press render of the device which matches the above images. At the moment, we still don’t know about its hardware specs but we reckon it should be a step up from its current V15 Pro that’s running on a Snapdragon 675 processor.

The device still uses a 48MP main camera and it is likely to be accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle shooter, a depth sensor and perhaps a super macro shooter. We are guessing that the front would still retain the same 32MP selfie camera as before and based on its tagline “wider selfie, clearer night”, we believe that Vivo is putting an extra ultra-wide-angle camera for the front.

The Vivo V17 Pro is expected to be announced in India this month and it could go on sale before Diwali.
