Huawei’s new Watch GT 2 could have more than 14 days battery life

A reliable leakster has just revealed what Huawei’s next smartwatch could look like, along with some feature updates that users can look forward to. This (refer below) could be the Huawei Watch GT 2, the successor to Huawei’s Watch GT that boasted up to 14 days of battery life.

In a Tweet, Roland Quandt detailed that the Huawei Watch GT 2 will come with larger battery—445mAh, which is around 6% larger than the 420mAh battery seen on the Watch GT. Huawei promised up to 14 days of battery on the Watch GT (which I found to be true), and it’s safe to assume that the Watch GT 2, with its larger battery, should have an even more impressive battery life.

It’s also likely to have a more compact design, with a slimmer profile as well as a larger display. That’s Quandt’s assumption based on eyeballing the images, as there haven’t been any official details from Huawei on that just yet. In addition to that, it should still run Huawei’s Lite OS (just like its predecessor), and will also have an integrated speaker and microphone. This would mean that the Watch GT 2 will be able to make calls, although it remains to be seen if the smartwatch will have a cellular model.

More details are expected to be revealed at the IFA 2019, and the leaked images indicate that there might be 2 variants available: one with a leather strap, and the other with a plastic/rubber strap.
