DJI Osmo Mobile 3 now on sale in Malaysia

DJI unveiled the fascinating Osmo Mobile 3 smartphone gimbal earlier this month, and it turned a lot of heads. That’s because the new gimbal actually folds in half which, as you can probably tell, dramatically reduces its footprint, making it easier to store.

Well, if you’ve been looking forward to getting your hands on that new smartphone stabiliser here in Malaysia, you’re in luck.

The Mobile 3 is currently available on local retailer KLDSLR for RM550, with ready stock. However, KLDSLR informs me that this unit is actually an imported set so you’re not getting official DJI Malaysia warranty. That being said, KLDSLR will handle any warranty claims for you and the device will be covered for one year.

KLDSLR is also offering a trade-in programme where you can trade-in your old gimbal for the Osmo Mobile 3 and get a small discount. Eligible devices include the Osmo Mobile 2 (top up RM400), Smooth 4 (top up RM420), and the Vimble 2 (top up RM450).

That means that even at the biggest discount (Osmo Mobile 2) you’ll only be getting RM150 off. You might be able to get more for your old gimbal if you sell it online, but of course that depends on whether you can find a buyer.

However, if you don’t need the new folding mechanism, or you don’t need access to your smartphone’s ports while you’re recording, you can also consider the Osmo Mobile 2 on KLDSLR for RM359.

If you’re interested in picking up the Osmo Mobile 3, you can head on over to KLDSLR.com, though I’ve been informed that stocks are pretty limited at this point. Read more about DJI’s latest smartphone gimbal in our Related section at the end of this article.
