Samsung Galaxy A30s and A50s with upgraded triple-camera setup introduced

After introducing the Galaxy A10s, Samsung is giving its Galaxy A30 and A50 a mid-life refresh with its new A30s and A50s. Both still retain a 6.4″ display and a large 4,000mAh battery, but there are a couple of tweaks in terms of cameras and exterior design.

Samsung Galaxy A50s

The Galaxy A50s looks similar to the current Galaxy A50 but it now features a new back design with a geometric pattern and holographic effect. Upfront it has a 6.4″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display that comes with an on-screen fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, it appears to be running on the same Exynos 9610 Octa-Core processor like the A50 which can be configured with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

In the camera department, the A50s comes with a newer triple-camera setup that has a 48MP f/2.0 main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5MP depth camera. Meanwhile, the front selfie camera is upgraded from 25MP to 32MP.

The device is still powered by a 4,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charge via USB-C. The device is available in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Green and Prism Crush Violet.

Samsung Galaxy A30s

Going a notch below is the Galaxy A30s. Although it has a 6.4″ Super AMOLED display, the resolution has been downgraded to HD+ (1560×720) and it has an on-screen fingerprint sensor. The processor appears to be similar to the current A30 and it is offered with up to 4GB RAM and up to 128GB of storage.

The rear cameras have been significantly upgraded for the A30s and it appears to be carried over from the current A50. The device now gets a 25MP f/1.7 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5MP shooter for bokeh effects. For selfies, it still retains a 16MP f/2.0 front camera.

Like the A50s, the A30s is also powered by a 4,000mAh battery that supports 15W Fast Charging via USB-C. The back also gets a similar geometrical pattern design and it’s available in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Green and Prism Crush Violet.

At the moment, there are no pricing and availability details for the A30s and A50s. It is also mentioned that both devices can support Samsung Pay but the availability varies between markets.
