The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is expected to support a faster 45W wired charging. This is 3X more powerful than the current 15W Adaptive Fast Charger that’s bundled on the Galaxy S10+ and the Galaxy Note9. If you’re thinking that you can get blazing speeds out of the box, turns out that you’ll have to pay extra for this feature.
According to reliable leakster Roland Quandt, the Galaxy Note 10+ will definitely support 45W Super Fast Charge that uses a USB-PD protocol. Unfortunately, the 45W charger will be sold separately and in Europe, it’s expected to be priced at 49.99 EUR (around RM236).
Fortunately, Samsung is still bundling a 25W Super Fast Charger which is the same brick that’s included with the Galaxy A70, A80 and the Galaxy S10+ 5G edition. It also uses a USB-PD protocol as it comes with a USB-C port instead of a typical full-sized USB-A version. From our experience with the Galaxy A70, we managed to fully charge the 4,500mAh battery in just 1 hour and 45 minutes using the 25W charger.
As a comparison, Huawei’s top of the line charger pushes 40W. Meanwhile, OPPO is capable of pushing 50W with its SuperVOOC charger that’s included with the Oppo Find X Lamborghini edition and the R17 Pro.
The optional 45W charger is obviously bigger and below is a side by side comparison using official pictures provided by Sammobile and Roland Quandt. The brick on the left is the 25W Super Fast Charger while the right is the 45W Super Fast Charger.
Would you pay extra for a 45W charger?
