You can buy the ROG Phone II in Malaysia very soon

The ASUS ROG Phone II is a mobile gaming beast, featuring the best specs you can think of for a smartphone. If you can’t wait to get your hands on a unit in Malaysia, it appears that it’s going to be available for sale very soon.

The ROG Phone II is already listed on Lazada via retailer G Store but it carries a temporary placeholder price tag of RM9,999. We are told that stocks will be arriving as early as the end of this week and they will reveal the actual price very soon.

Do note that this is an import set which is likely to be the Tencent branded unit from China. According to the listing, the ROG Phone II on offer is covered by a 2-year supplier warranty. In China, the device with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at 3,499CNY (about RM2,100) while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant is priced at 5,999CNY (about RM3,600). You can expect to pay an extra premium since this is an early grey import unit.

To refresh your memory, the ROG Phone II features a 6.59″ Full HD+ AMOLED display that comes with an insane 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor that’s clocked at a higher 2.96GHz.

Designed for extensive gaming, the device has an updated GameCool II system that features 3D vapour chamber, a heat sink plus additional vents for improved cooling. The device also comes with an upgraded AirTriggers as well as a side-mounted USB-C port for greater practicality for gaming.

Another huge feature is its large 6,000mAh battery which is 50% larger than the previous ROG Phone. It supports 30W ROG HyperCharge via USB-C and the device still retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.
