Honor 20 Pro unboxing & hands-on

We’ve all seen the Honor 20. This device offers decent specs and versatile cameras for an affordable price point. But if you are looking for something more powerful, the more capable among the two which is the Honor 20 Pro will be launched in Malaysia really soon. So let’s check out what the Honor 20 Pro is all about.

The Honor 20 Pro was launched alongside the more affordable Honor 20. The Honor 20 Pro retains the same 6.26”Full HD+ display and a flagship class Kirin 980 processor, just like the standard Honor 20. You will also find a tiny hole at the top left corner and it houses the 32MP selfie camera.

This device also gets 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

As you can see, this device also gets a quad camera setup just like the Honor 20. But it is much better than the standard variant.

And interestingly, this device currently has the second-highest score on DxOMark Mobile beating devices like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Galaxy S10+ and the iPhone XS Max.

This is because the Honor 20 Pro comes with a 48MP main camera and it also has a aperture of f/1.4. Having a larger aperture generally allows more light to pass through and in theory, it should perform better in low light.

Besides that it also gets a 16MP ultra wide angle camera, an 8MP telephoto lens that offers 3X optical zoom and there is also a 2MP macro  camera for those who likes taking pictures up close.

Besides the camera, the Pro variant also gets a larger battery. Powering the Honor 20 Pro is a larger 4,000mAh battery and it charges via USB-C with support for 22.5W SuperCharge fast charging.
