The Powerbeats Pro has officially arrived in Malaysia. These are Apple’s sporty wireless earbuds that use the same Apple H1 chip as the 2nd gen AirPods. The beats branded device offer almost double the music listening time of the Airpods and it still features the same Siri hands-free capability.

The Powerbeats Pro are officially priced at RM999. Although it is released in four colours, the wireless earphones are currently available in Black for our local market. As a comparison, the current 2nd gen AirPods are priced at RM879 with a wireless charging case and RM699 for the version with a standard charging case.

To keep the earbuds secure during intensive workouts, it comes with secure-fit ear hooks that can be customised with multiple ear tip options. The Powerbeats Pro are also sweat and water-resistant but there’s no mention of IP rating. The earbuds also come with physical control buttons with a volume rocker at the top while the beats logo on the sides double up as a button which you can long-press to decline a call.

On a full charge, the earbuds can last up to 9 hours of music listening time and you can get up to 24 hours of total listening time with the charging case. If you need to recharge, it takes just 5 minutes to push 1.5 hours of listening time. Do note that the charging case does not come with wireless charging and it charges via a lightning cable which is included in the box.

If you’re interested, you can place your orders at the Apple Online Store. The PowerBeats Pro is also now available at authorised reseller, Machines.
