HTC U11+ is finally getting Android 9 Pie in Malaysia

HTC has been pretty slow when it comes to software updates and most of their flagship devices have yet to receive Android 9 Pie this year. If you’re using the HTC U11+, the current Android version is finally rolling out for Malaysian users.

The Android 9.0 Pie update is 1.37GB in size and you can get it now via OTA update. If you haven’t received any notification yet, you can check manually under your phone settings. For those currently using the smaller HTC U11, HTC Malaysia says that the update will be coming soon.

A few months ago, HTC had shared a release schedule for the HTC U11 and U12 series. The update for the U11 was supposed to be rolled out beginning late May 2019, followed by the U11+ and U12+ in June.
