HTC is bringing the Wildfire back for 2019, comes in four models

Remember the HTC Wildfire from 2010? It looks like HTC is bringing the name back and they could be releasing as many as four models very soon based on a leak from a Russian website.

HTC Wildfire

The HTC Wildfire itself is the highest model of the range and it features a fancy gradient effect for its rear panel. The alleged spec-sheet mentions that it has a 6.217″ HD+ 19:9 display and it runs on an octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage.

For imaging, it has a 16MP + 5MP dual-camera setup for the rear, while the front comes with a 16MP selfie shooter. Powering the device is a 3,500mAh battery.

HTC Wildfire E1

Moving slightly down a notch is the Wildfire E1 that features a 6.088″ HD+ display. It runs on a lower-tier Helio A22 processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. For taking pictures, it settles for a single 16MP main camera and an 8MP selfie camera. The device is powered by a modest 3,000mAh battery.

HTC Wildfire E/E Plus

For the ultra-budget segment, there’s the Wildfire E and E Plus. The base Wildfire E has a 5.45″ HD+ display that’s powered by an 8-core Spreadtrum SC9863 processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage. Surprisingly, it still features a dual-camera setup consisting of a 13MP main and a 2MP secondary shooter. The device also gets a 5MP front camera and a 3,000mAh battery.

For the Wildfire E Plus, it comes with a slightly larger 5.99″ HD+ display and it runs on a MediaTek Helio A22 processor. The rest of the specs are similar to the smaller Wildfire E and it also retains the same 3,000mAh battery.

At the time of writing, the original source has taken down the page. It isn’t clear when these devices will be available officially and whether it will be sold in our region.

It has been quite a while since HTC has launched a flagship device and it appears that they are now focused on the entry to mid-range segment. The latest device that was announced is the HTC U19e that runs on a Snapdragon 710 processor.
