Sony’s WF-1000XM3 wireless earbuds are now available for pre-order

Sony recently announced the launch of their latest ANC pair of headphones, the Sony WF-1000XM3. The truly wireless headphones is Sony’s latest iteration in their acclaimed 1000X lineup, and will be retailing in August 2019 for a hefty price of RM949.

If you’re interested in getting your hands on a pair, local retailer Jaben has already started taking pre-orders on their site, at a price of RM949. Pre-order customers will also be entitled to a free Sony CP-V10B 10,000mAh power bank which retails for RM179 on Sony Malaysia’s official site. Both black and platinum silver colour options are available with the same free gift. According to the site, stocks will arrive by the end of July 2019.

A quick search on Lazada also reveals that several local retailers are taking pre-orders for the Sony WF-1000XM3, although not all of them provide the same free gift. Do note that we have not made a pre-order for the headphones from any of these resellers, so this isn’t a recommendation.

Features

Just to recap, the WF-1000XM3 features Sony’s new QN1e HD Noise Cancelling Processor and Dual Noise Sensor Technology. This, according to Sony, will cancel more noise such as cars, street noise, and the roar of an aircraft cabin—using less power.

Sony also says that you’ll get up to 6 hours of battery life from a single charge with active noise cancellation (ANC) turned on. If you turn ANC off, that number goes up to 8 hours, and if you occasionally pop them into the charging case, you can extend it all the way to 24 hours with noise cancelling turned on.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about the Sony WF-1000XM3 is how Sony’s new Bluetooth chip allows for left/right simultaneous bluetooth transmission as opposed to the conventional left-right relay. You’ll also be able to have easy access to Google Assistant, which is becoming more important these days.
