Honor 20 Pro is coming to Malaysia soon

If you’re looking for a higher-spec Honor 20 series, it appears that the Pro model is coming to Malaysia very soon. Honor Malaysia has posted a teaser on Facebook that a device with a DxOMark Mobile score of 111 points is heading our way.

The Honor 20 Pro currently has the second-highest score on DxOMark Mobile beating devices like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Galaxy S10+ and the iPhone XS Max. The device was launched alongside the Honor 20 but so far, Honor Malaysia is only selling the standard Honor 20 that is currently priced at RM1,699.

Honor hasn’t revealed any availability and pricing details yet but we think it could be going on sale as early as the end of this month or early August. The Honor 20 Pro retains the same screen size of 6.26″ as the standard model but it offers a better quad-camera array and a larger battery. Under the hood, it runs on a top of the line Kirin 980 processor, which is similar to the Honor View 20 and Huawei P30 Pro.

The device features a 48MP f/1.4 main camera with OIS, a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera and an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto camera that offers 3X optical zoom with OIS. For the fourth camera, it has a 2MP f/2.4 shooter for super macro mode.

Powering the Honor 20 Pro is a larger 4,000mAh battery and it charges via USB-C with support for 22.5W SuperCharge fast charging. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In Europe, the Honor 20 Pro retails for 599EUR (about RM2,770). If it comes to Malaysia, we reckon it should be priced lower, possibly around the RM2,000 mark.
