Xiaomi’s Redmi 7A is now officially available in Malaysia for less than RM400

If you need a budget Xiaomi smartphone, the entry-level Redmi 7A is now officially available from Xiaomi Malaysia. A few weeks ago, the device was sold via the Xiaomi global Store which requires a longer delivery time. Now you can get it quicker via local authorised retailers and the official Mi Store.

The Redmi 7A is offered in two colours – Matte Blue and Matte Black. The base 2GB RAM + 16GB storage model is priced at RM399, while the higher 2GB RAM + 32GB storage option is priced at RM439. Both models are available at authorised Mi Stores in Malaysia starting today.

If you prefer to get it online, the Redmi 7A is offered with 2GB RAM + 16GB storage only. It will go on sale on Shopee on 22nd July and Lazada will start on 26th July 2019.

The Redmi 7A comes with a 5.45″ HD+ 18:9 display and it is running on a Snapdragon 439 processor. If you need more storage, the device also supports microSD card expansion.

For imaging, the device features a 12MP AI-assisted main camera and a 5MP selfie shooter. Despite being a budget device, the Redmi 7A is still packing a 4,000mAh battery and it supports dual-SIM with VoLTE.

According to Xiaomi, the Redmi 7A has the capability of receiving FM radio signals without using an external antenna. This means you can tune in to your radio stations without pugging in a headset.
