[Update] Here’s how you can redeem free one year extended warranty for your Huawei device

[ UPDATE 1/07/2019 12:05 ] The Extended Warranty offer is only for eligible Huawei devices purchased between 1st July to 30th September 2019.

In a move to inspire customer confidence, Huawei Malaysia has just announced a 2 years warranty offer for those that purchase eligible Huawei devices for the next three months.

Do note that this is offer applicable for selected models as listed below:

Huawei P30 series
Huawei Mate 20 series
Huawei Nova 4 series
Huawei Nova 3i
Huawei MediaPad M5
Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro

To redeem this offer, just launch the HiCare app on your Huawei device and you should see a “No Worries” banner at the top of the screen. Click to view the full terms and conditions, and if you scroll down, there’s another “Click Here Now” button to redeem. You’ll need to be logged in with your Huawei ID.

According to the T&C, this extended warranty plan must be redeemed by 30th September 2019. The new warranty period will be reflected within 7 business days and it will extend upon the expiry of the initial first year warranty period.

UPDATE: We tried to redeem on our Huawei P30 Pro that was acquired during the launch day in April and we managed to get the extended warranty as shown below:

UPDATE 2: It looks like a bug. Huawei insists that this extended warranty is only for new devices purchased from 1st July to 30th September.
