The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 looks a lot like the Huawei P30

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is expected to launch around August and we now get a clear look of the device from various angles thanks to reliable leakster Steve H.McFly aka @Onleaks. In case you’re wondering, Steve has a credible reputation of releasing 360-degree renders of upcoming Samsung models. This included the Galaxy Note9 and the Galaxy S10.

The fresh batch of images do match Ben Geskin’s Galaxy Note 10 renders that we saw last week. The front of the Galaxy Note 10 will have slim bezels and it will also adopt an Infinity-O punch-hole display. Instead of putting the selfie camera on the top right corner, the Galaxy Note 10’s single front camera is placed right in the middle.

As mentioned via 91Mobiles, Steve reckons that the Galaxy Note 10 will come with a smaller 6.3″ display that pushes a QuadHD+ resolution on a dual-curved Dynamic AMOLED panel. As a comparison, both the current Galaxy Note9 and S10+ are having 6.4″ Quad HD+ displays that are curved on the edges.

At the rear, the Galaxy Note 10 will get a triple-camera setup which is likely to be similar to current Galaxy S10 series. Instead of a horizontal placement, the cameras are arranged vertically towards the left, which is very similar to the Huawei P30 series.

For a cleaner appearance, the Galaxy Note 10 will no longer come with a heart rate sensor and there’s no rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well. Similar to the Galaxy Note 10, the device will come with an ultra-sonic based in-display fingerprint sensor.

Interestingly, the entire right of the phone is clean without any physical buttons, however, on the left side, you’ll still get a volume rocker and a button which could be used for either Bixby or power button. This is quite an interesting design change as Samsung traditionally places the power button on the right side of the phone.

If we look at the bottom, you’ll notice a USB-C port, a speaker grill and a silo for the S Pen. The 3.5mm headphone jack is noticeably missing and this is the first time Samsung has ditched the popular headphone jack on the Galaxy Note series.

The render also reveals a rather flat design for both the top and bottom frame. This is very similar to the current Huawei flagship models. If the weight of the phone is well balanced, you can probably stand the Galaxy Note 10 on a flat surface.

Personally, I’ve mixed feelings about the Galaxy Note 10’s design. Having a punch-hole in the middle is almost no different from having an actual notch. On top of that, the triple-camera placement seems rather odd for a flagship Galaxy Note series and we’re guessing that this could be the optimal arrangement in order to make more room for a larger battery. The Galaxy Note 10 is rumoured to come with a larger 4,500mAh battery that supports an even faster 45W charger.

The overall appearance just looks too similar to a Huawei P30. Just look at the side-by-side comparison below.
