Xiaomi Mi 9T is launching on 12 June 2019

This is it! Xiaomi will be launching the new Mi 9T next Wednesday, on 12th June 2019. If you didn’t know, the Mi 9T is the global version of its new flagship killer, the Redmi K20 series. This is the latest member of the Mi 9 family and it’s also Xiaomi’s first smartphone to come with a pop-up selfie camera mechanism.

So far there’s no mention of the launch venue and we are guessing that it could be taking place in Europe. Interestingly, Xiaomi India will launch the smartphone it as the Redmi K20. For Malaysia, we are guessing that the device could go on sale as early as the end of this month since it has already passed our SIRIM certification.

Based on the leaked spec-sheet by reliable leakster, Roland Quandt, the European market will be getting the Mi 9T as well as the Mi 9T Pro. Both come with a 6.39″ Full HD+AMOLED display, a triple camera setup with a 48MP Sony IMX586 main camera and a large 4,000mAh battery. For the Mi 9T, it will run on a Snapdragon 730 processor, while the Mi 9T Pro gets a flagship class Snapdragon 855 unit.

If you can’t wait, you can get the Redmi K20 Pro locally from Mobile2Go. It is priced from RM1,898 for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB model, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version is priced at RM2,298.
