Honor 20 pre-order postponed in Malaysia

The Honor 20 series will be revealed officially today and pre-orders are supposed to start in Malaysia this week from the 24th May 2019. Unfortunately, Honor Malaysia has just updated that pre-order for its new flagship smartphone has been postponed until further notice. It isn’t clear if the postponement is related to the recent restrictions by the US Government.

However, the local launch for the Honor 20 will still proceed as planned on the 23rd May 2019. Honor assures that the device will be released in Malaysia and they will reveal its new pre-order date via their social media channels on Facebook. Below is Honor’s statement:

HONOR 20 Pre-Order and Sales Launch Rescheduled
HONOR would like to announce that the pre-order and sales launch for HONOR’s soon-to-be-launched HONOR 20 has been rescheduled. The pre-order of the latest smartphone initially scheduled on 24 May – 28 May and the sales launch on 29 May are postponed to later dates due to local logistic issues.

To avoid any disappointment, we are doing all that we can to sort out the dates as soon as possible in order to allow a seamless transaction process for Malaysians in owning the HONOR 20. We thank you for your kind understanding and will keep you updated on this matter.

Last week, Honor Malaysia had announced their pre-order promo which was originally scheduled between 24-28 May 2019. The Honor 20 device will be bundled with RM500 worth of freebies which include an Honor Backpack, Honor SoundStone and Honor Band 4. The device was supposed to go on sale nationwide beginning 29th May 2019 just in time for the Raya.

The Honor 20 global event is taking place this evening at 9PM Malaysian Time. You can catch the live stream from our Facebook page.
