Acer Nitro 5 with Nvidia’s new GeForce GTX 1650 is coming to Malaysia in May

Two weeks after it was revealed at the Acer global press conference, the Acer Nitro 5 will be on sale in Malaysia within the next couple of weeks. If you’re looking for a decent gaming laptop on a budget, this device is definitely something to consider.

For a budget gaming laptop, it still packs decent specs which should be sufficient for gaming in moderate or even ultra-high settings for some games. Inside, there are two variants of processors that you can choose from, which are the Intel Core i7-9750H or the Intel Core i5-9300H. As for graphics processing, the Nitro 5 packs the new Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 with 4GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM.

In terms of memory and storage, it’ll be getting a dual-channel DDR4 RAM which supports up to 16GB. If you’re keen for more, you’ll be glad to know that it is upgradable to 32GB using two soDIMM modules. What’s more, you’ll get a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD as well.

For a budget gaming laptop, the display shouldn’t be compromised too much, because who likes playing games with bad graphics? But luckily, the Nitro 5 comes with a 15.6” Full HD IPS LCD display with Acer ComfyView LED-backlit TFT LCD. The display is built with slim bezels and the monitor provides viewing angles up to 170 degrees.

As for cooling, which is important for every gaming laptop, the Nitro 5 has a dual fan cooling system along with Acer’s CoolBoost technology, keeping the device cool even during extreme gaming sessions. The device is juiced up by a 55Wh 3,580mAh battery which is rated to last up to 8 hours of video playback and up to 11 hours of web browsing.

If you’re interested in picking up this device, it’ll be available in Malaysia from early May with two variants. The Intel Core i5-9300H processor variant will be available at RM3,499 and the Intel Core i7-9750H variant will be available at RM4,399. It will be available at Acer official online store and all Acer authorised resellers nationwide.
