The Honor 20 series is launching next month and you could consider this as an affordable alternative to the Huawei P30 series. Ahead of its launch event, a couple of high resolution renders have appeared on Weibo and it looks rather identical to its Huawei sibling.
From the looks of it, this could be the Honor 20 Pro as it comes with a quad-camera setup. Unlike the Huawei P30 Pro, this render has all four cameras including a small Time of Flight (ToF) sensor placed in a single camera bump.
The topmost camera is square which indicates that the device has a periscope camera system for greater zoom. The overall layout of the cameras and flash module also matches the cutout for the purported casing.
Somehow I’m having doubts about this render as Honor would likely have its own design approach from the main Huawei brand. For example, the Honor 10 looks distinctively different from the Huawei P20 series. For now, we suggest taking this render with a pinch of salt.
What we can safely expect is that the Honor 20 will feature their top of the line Kirin 980 processor and it should come with a battery of at least 3,650mAh in capacity. An earlier purported leak suggests that the device could come with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
The Honor 20 series launch is taking place on 21st May 2019. Since Malaysia is a key market, we expect pre-order to be available by end of next month.
