U Mobile wants you to try their improved 4G network for free with unlimited data

Have you used U Mobile? If you’ve tried them before and didn’t have a great experience previously, the telco has just introduced a new offer in an attempt to win you back. U Mobile is confident that their 4G network has been improved significantly and they are now offering a free 7-day network trial or your money back.

U Mobile has embarked on a massive network upgrade exercise and they have rolled out over 2,000 new LTE sites in the past year. This provides a wider 4G coverage which claims to cover 90% of West Malaysia’s population and it’s built for unlimited data.

To get this 7-day unlimited data trial, you can sign up at participating U Mobile stores and place a RM99 deposit. If you’re happy with the experience, the RM99 deposit will be used to activate the Unlimited Hero P99 plan from the 8th day onward. If you don’t wish to continue, just submit your termination request here by 23:59PM on the 7th day of your trial.

According to the FAQ, U Mobile will refund the RM99 deposit in full within 14 working days upon termination, provided that you submit your termination request within the stipulated time frame.

During the trial period, you can enjoy unlimited high-speed data for domestic usage including unlimited video streaming in standard definition. You also get to enjoy unlimited local calls to all networks as well as 30GB of hotspot data. Do note that you won’t be able to activate IDD and international roaming, and SMS will not be enabled as well.

Once the trial period is over, you can enjoy the full plan benefits of Unlimited Hero P99. For RM99/month, you get unlimited calls, unlimited data at full speeds, 30GB of hotspot as well as free 3GB of data roaming in 12 countries.

If you need more tethering data and better video streaming, there’s also the P139 plan that comes with 50GB of hotspot data, free data roaming in 36 countries as well as unlimited video streaming in HD.
