Realme is taking an aim at the Redmi Note 7 Pro with its ultimate mid-range smartphone yet. The Realme 3 Pro takes a significant leap forward with a more powerful Snapdragon 710 processor, improved cameras with “Night mode” and it even comes with Oppo’s VOOC fast charging technology.
Upfront it has a 6.3″ Dewdrop full-screen display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution and it has Gorilla Glass 5. To stand out from the rest, it features a Le Mans-inspired Speedway exterior with a 3D glass back.
Powering the Realme 3 Pro is a 10nm based Snapdragon 710 AIE processor that’s clocked up to 2.2GHz. It comes with a choice of either 4GB or 6GB of RAM with storage options of up to 128GB.
For taking pictures, the Realme 3 Pro gets a dual-camera setup which consists of a 16MP f/1.7 main camera (Sony IMX519) and a secondary 5MP f/2.4 shooter for bokeh effects. Meanwhile, the dewdrop notch houses a 25MP AI-assisted selfie camera. As expected, it comes with a host of AI enhanced features.
The device is capable of creating 64MP images in Ultra HD mode and there’s also a Super Nightscape mode which allows you to capture blur-free handheld low-light shots with less noise and more details. It also supports 4K video recording with EIS support. On top of that, it’s also capable of shooting slow-mo at 960fps.
Powering this upper-mid-range device is a rather large 4,045mAh battery that’s rated to last up to 9.7 hours of 1080p video playback or up to 7 hours of PUBG gaming. To replenish the battery quickly, the Realme 3 Pro also features Oppo’s VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 technology in the box that can charge up to 50% in just 30 minutes. Unfortunately, it still uses a microUSB port.
Out of the box, it runs on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0. Realme 3 Pro also features Hyper Boost 2.0 which can intelligently fine-tune the device’s performance for gaming. The device is available in three colour options – Lightning Purple, Nitro Blue and Carbon Grey.
In India, the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option is going for 13,999 INR (about RM831) while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at 16,999 INR (about RM1,011). That’s the same price as the Redmi Note 7 Pro in India which is powered by a Snapdragon 675 processor.
There are no details yet for its Malaysian availability but this is definitely the most affordable Snapdragon 710 smartphone that’s packed with a huge battery. You can learn more on Realme 3 Pro’s product page.
