These purported case moulds reveal iPhone XI and XI Max design

The next iPhone which could be called the iPhone XI is expected to be announced sometime in September this year. Based on earlier speculation, the latest iPhone could finally come with a triple-camera setup. Now alleged case moulds have appeared and it seems to confirm its large camera bump design.

According to leakster, Ben Geskin, what you’re seeing here are moulds for the new iPhone case production. The smaller unit is obviously for the iPhone XI while the larger unit would be for the iPhone XI Max model.

From what we’re seeing here, Apple will offer a similar triple-camera setup for both models and it is arranged in a weird layout as illustrated by @Onleaks.

Looking at the front, Apple is playing it safe by retaining the same edge to edge display with a large notch at the top. This means, it will still retain Face ID that uses infrared flood illumination and dot projector to maps and recognise your face in 3D. As a comparison, both Huawei and Samsung no longer offer 3D depth or an infrared iris scanner for its face unlocking feature on their new 2019 flagships.

What do you think of the design? Let us know in the comments below.
