Hotlink customers take note. Maxis has announced that they will be embarking on a system upgrading exercise in two phases and the first phase of upgrades will be taking place next Monday, 22 April 2019. During this period, some transactions will not be available and affected Hotlink subscribers will be notified by SMS.

The first upgrade exercise will be conducted between 8:30AM on 22 April until 6:00AM 23 April 2019. According to Maxis, affected customers will not be able to perform a top up or to make purchases. This includes subscription and payment via carrier billing which include Google PlayStore, App Store, Netflix, Spotify, Caller Ring Tone and etc. The Red App will be unavailable temporarily during the upgrade period.

Your normal mobile usage such as voice calls, SMS and data on Hotlink will still be available as usual. From the FAQ, it appears that not all customers will be impacted at the same time. If you don’t receive an SMS notification, you could be notified in the second phase of upgrade exercise.

You can learn more from Hotlink’s FAQ.
