Now you can report commercial crimes to the Royal Malaysian Police via WhatsApp

The Royal Malaysian Police has introduced a new WhatsApp channel for its Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID). This would allow Malaysians to provide information, to file a complaint or to make enquiries on commercial related crimes.

The purpose of the WhatsApp channel is to improve its services to the community and it serves as a medium for citizens to check and verify information related to commercial crime cases. For those who wish to follow up with a police report must provide the police report number along with the screenshot or the report.

The CCID Infoline can be used for tipping or to supply information on commercial related crimes such as scams, e-commerce crimes and fraud.

According to the official press release, you can contact the CCID Infoline via WhatsApp at +6013-211 1222. This number is only reachable via WhatsApp and SMS only and it does not accept voice calls. The Infoline is open daily from 8.00AM to 12:00AM (midnight).

Do note that you must only use registered Malaysian mobile numbers to contact the CCID Infoline. All information provided will be verified by Infoline representatives and all complaints must not be offensive or obscene in nature. Action will be taken against those that provide false information.
