You can get your TNG RFID without an appointment at these locations

If you want to get your TNG RFID, Touch ‘n Go is now offering instant installation at nine shopping malls and hypermarkets in the Klang Valley. This is open to everyone and you don’t even need to pre-register or make an appointment.

The on-the-spot RFID fitment is available at AEON Big Bukit Rimau, AEON Big Kepong, Berjaya Times Square, Empire Shopping Gallery Subang Jaya, Sunway Velocity Mall and Tesco outlets in Puchong, Cheras, Shah Alam and Bukit Tinggi. Installation is free and the participating walk-in fitment centres are available from 10am to 10pm daily for the month of April 2019.

Do note that you are required to bring your car and supporting documents. This include original and copy of your IC and driver’s license as well as a copy of your vehicle ownership certification (Grant) or the vehicle’s valid insurance cover note. If the vehicle isn’t under your name, you must bring an authorisation letter that’s signed by the owner.

To recap, RFID is a contactless payment system that’s introduced to replace SmartTAG. Instead of using a physical card, it uses a sticker that can be placed on your vehicles headlamp or windscreen. The toll charges will be deducted from the Touch ‘n Go eWallet which supports auto-reload via credit card. To learn more, you can check out our post about the RFID system here.

According to Touch ‘n Go, there are currently over 100,000 RFID-enabled vehicles in Malaysia. As of March 2019, TNG RFID is available at 23 highways covering 167 lanes.
