The HONOR View 20’s 48MP camera is one of the company’s finest creations

This post is brought to you by HONOR Malaysia

If you told someone in the past that they would be able to take billboard-sized images with the smartphone in their pocket, they probably wouldn’t have believed you. But oh, how the times have changed because now we’re getting devices like the HONOR View 20, a smartphone that really pushes the boundaries of what’s technically capable.

A stunning 48MP main camera with AI capabilities

How does the View 20 push boundaries, you may ask? Well, for starters, it packs one of the world’s first 48MP rear camera with AI Ultra Clarity. The Sony IMX586 48MP main sensor paired with its AI features offer outstanding image quality in every scenario. The camera is capable of capturing images in incredibly high resolution, providing great texture quality.

By default, the camera runs in the 12MP mode with pixel binning, but you can switch to the 48MP AI Ultra Clarity mode to enjoy all the benefits AI mode has to offer. The AI mode produces ‘Super 48MP Photos’ with the help of the Kirin 980’s dual-ISP (Image Signal Processor), which collects details from each of the processors and the chipset’s dual-NPU (Neural Processing Unit) feature, which analyses image quality and fully optimises the photos to produce sharper pictures.

The 48MP AI Ultra Clarity mode works best when you shoot objects with lots of detail and texture. Not only that, the camera can produce high quality images through Night Mode, even when the going gets really dark.

The 48MP main camera is also assisted by a secondary Time of Flight (ToF) 3D camera. This ToF 3D camera can measure the distance between the camera and the subject by emitting and receiving infrared light. This allows the camera to accurately capture the depth and 3D information of a subject quickly. With that, the information captured by the 3D lens would allow the camera to identify and separate people from the background, even enhancing body shapes in videos for better quality.

The 3D camera isn’t just good for taking photos and videos, but it acts as a great motion sensor as well. You can link the screen to your phone to a TV at home and enjoy playing motion sensing games with real time movement. Simply download games in Huawei App Store or Google Play Store and link your handset to TV with a dock and a HDMI cable.

Impressed? Well, the camera is actually just a facet of what is an incredibly capable flagship smartphone. In addition to its top-of-the-line Kirin 980 processor, the HONOR View 20 also packs a large 4,000 mAh battery with super-fast SuperCharge fast-charging technology, a jaw-dropping 6.4-inch All View Display and a gorgeous chevron back design.

It’s also built for gaming, with HONOR’s GPU Turbo capabilities and a built-in liquid cooling system. The liquid cooling system features an S-shaped heat pipe that allows the device to run stably even at high frequencies without overheating.

But, the best part about this is that you can have all of this from as low as RM1,999, which is practically a steal.

Pair it with the company’s HONOR Watch Magic smartwatch and you’ve got a killer combination that’s smart, capable and incredibly stylish. What more could you need? Pick up your brand new smartphone today at hiHONOR.com.
